GreatCall, Inc. Announces New Company Executives for Finance and Business Development
Del Mar, Calif. – February 6, 2007 – GreatCall, Inc., a unique provider of cellular handsets and
services targeted towards baby boomers, today announced the appointment of both Bill Kuncz as
Vice President of Finance, CFO and John Garrison, Vice President of Business Development.
“Both Bill and John are very well respected executives who offer a tremendous amount of
experience in finance and business development,” said Arlene Harris, GreatCall CEO and cofounder.
“Since the announcement of the Jitterbug phones in 2006, it has been an incredible year for
the company, and we are delighted to welcome two new executives to a team committed to
providing our customers with the best telephone their cell phone can be.”
Bill Kuncz has over 20 years of financial management experience across multiple technologies and
business models. Prior to joining GreatCall he served as CFO, Vice President and Secretary of
Vertical Circuits, Inc., a global supplier of semiconductor and electronic products and services to
worldwide commercial, aerospace and military customers, where he managed all aspects of the
company’s financial, legal and administrative functions. Mr. Kuncz also co-founded Serra Park
Dental, Inc., a network of 11 dental practices, serving as its CFO, and as a Director, until selling the
Dental Practice Consolidator to a publicly traded management firm. Additionally he has also held
senior positions infinancial and operations management at Sierra Semiconductor Corporation, a
publicly traded semiconductor manufactur.erMr. Kuncz holds an MBA from Santa Clara
University, and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Michigan.
John Garrison has an extensive human network built over the past 25 years from his executive
management roles within the wireless, consumer electronics, and Internet retail industries. Prior to
joining GreatCall he was the Executive Vice President of Samsung’s multi-billion dollar Digital
Consumer Electronics Division, where he led the company to top U.S. market positions in several
digital television categories. In this capacity, Mr. Garrison developed relationships with the
leadership teams of major U.S. retailers and service providers. Prior to his work at Samsung, he was
a founding member of Amazon.com’s Wireless Store development team, negotiating partnership
agreements with the major U.S. wireless carriers for distribution of their services. Mr. Garrison
holds a BS in Financial Management from the University of Delaware.
